You’ve always needed a Grenache/Gamay blend in your life, you just didn’t know it. A cherry red color with purple flecks and long legs. After some time and air this really blossoms. Blue and black berries dominant on the nose with a little bit of herbal goodness for kicks. A touch of pepper because why the heck not?
Half Grenache and half Gamay from Ardèche in the Rhône. An odd blend but it most certainly works. The acid is prevalent and welcome. A definite cough syrup vibe happening, but in a really pleasant and gracious way. While sweeter on the nose, it’s more dry and developed in the mouth. Plenty of fruit on the palate with some spice and forest floor. Super fun.

Jul 14th, 2023Bright and a tad hot. Some pepper/spice. Cherry cola with soft tannins and a TON of acidity. Almost an effervescence which never hurts my feelings. Smells candy sweet but drinks with a bit more maturity.
