Pretty good. Not too acidic, medium bodied. Still searching for the prunto barbaresco, but this one is a decent runner up. — 7 months ago
August 20, 2022. Dinner w/ Doc J & Jack. 2+ years latter. Still bold tannins. Still drinking young. Don’t skip the decant, reward is worth it. — a year ago
Excellent with prime rib! Not too tannic, dry but a touch of fruit. — 2 years ago
Ruby coloration with some translucency. On the nose, cherry, strawberry and raspberry with hints of balsamic. On the palate, tannins are still present after 10 years and holding their own. The flavors are layered with oak, followed by balsamic and the fruit and minerals. On the palate, the wine has definite power, but drinks as something delicate, elegant and complex. The finish carries on for a long time and I found this wine to be a nice surprise. — 5 months ago
Transparent garnet red. Inviting nose of black cherry and ashen violet. Well structured, full palate yields black cherry, violets, terra cotta, and soft anise. Firm, velvety tannins. Medium plus acidity. Excellent Nebbiolo with depth and structure enough to satisfy your Barolo cravings with the Tuesday night meal. Beef, pasta, rustic stews, and other hearty red wine fare will be just as at home as the take-out pizza. Drink now through 2027. — a year ago
