The hands down winner of the (4) big Napa Cabs. Having been to the winery twice, I am still amazed at the still amazed at the multitude of wines they produce, and do so very well. Their Cabernet Sauvignons are one of my favorites with its beautiful deep color, dark fruits and some stone fruits bouncing across your tongue in a balanced delivery. And then the finish is what makes you hold the glass a little longer and go back for more to see if it can impress that well again. — 8 years ago
This is a great beer, but far as the Enjoy By series, does not compare to some of the others, Unfiltered was amazing, probably the best they have done, 4-20-16 was a close second, with 12 hops Stone does not need to add adjunct to their beers, just gets in the way, distracts from the true hop notes and flavors derived from the hops, leave that to the other breweries that are not so familiar with true hops, still a great beer — 8 years ago
Perfect pizza wine four hours decanted. Vicolo Corn Meal Goat Cheese Pizza with our fresh ingredients.
The body is round, rich & lush. The structure, tension, balance & finish still need 3-5 years plus years to truly shine. Slightly sweet & sour & floral, dark cherries, ripe blueberries, dark plum, black raspberries, dark, slightly, sweet tarriness, anise, lead pencil, dry stone, dry clay, dark spice, limestone, crushed, dry rocks, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanillin, fresh & dry tobacco, dry twigs, tree sap, dry herbs, savory meats, touch of pepper with candied & withering; dark, red, purple & some blue flowers framed in lavender & violets. Very good cool stream river acidity. The finish is still youthful (even decanted 4 plus hours) well balanced fruit & earth, ripe, juicy, elegant & it persists endlessly.
Even better in 3-5 years.
Produttori at the time we were there in the fall of 2015 was the 3rd largest European Co-op. It is located at the top of the town of Barbaresco, right under the church. We tasted there before going into Gaja down the street. Then, onto one of the best Michelin starred restaurants that is adjacent to Gaja we’ve had. 70 Euros lunch for two. The food was outstanding & rarely had that level of service. — 3 years ago
Stone does what is best know to do, takes a classic style and makes different and unique, Belgium Wit with tangerine, lemon and Kiefer lime, 4 hops and coriander and of course Belgian yeast, easy drinking and refreshing, very good seasonal offering perfect for the summer — 8 years ago

5th Anniversary, re-release in a 4-pack box under $20!!! Had this back in the day, loved it then, still love it, this is close to original " Ruination" big piney hops, grapefruit, caramel malt, bitter as it was meant to be, a true west coast classic beer, Stone has come away from this style in the last few years, but it good to see them put this out, because as they say, most people think or say they had this beer, but really they did not, it was a very limited release, I do remember that, it was only available in very few states, and really only widely available in California — 8 years ago

Per Bianca of PBB: A co-fermented wine of red and white grapes is what everyone should be looking for in a summertime wine. It's light, complex, and as long as it's made with skilled hands, incredibly balanced and easy drinking.. The Baton Rouge is both deeply herbal and very giving with the red tart fruits like red currants and cranberry. Also earthy notes of smoky rosemary, pink florals, and fresh dirt. On the palate the tasting notes randge from strawberries and stone fruit to vanilla and nutmeg. It's a really lovely wine that definitely should be served chilled and with a spread of cheese and meats, or marinated veggies. — 10 months ago
