Ten 10 years old. Decanted for two hours. Served in Riedel Cabernet glasses. Deep purple; tinted legs; a bouquet of leather, berries, and cedar. Moderate plus tannins.
Good mouth feel. Not as fruit forward ( at 10) as many Howell Mountain cabs. Warm alcohol on the palate. Dense blue berries, plum jam, walnut husk. Very satisfying. — 7 years ago
Drinking a 2010 on Father's Day 2017. Lots of fruit dark cherry, plum, prune. Some leather and tobacco. The tannins are prominent but mostly on the front end. The last thing you taste is the mild burn of alcohol. Great sentiment on the back label. — 7 years ago

Surprise. What a delicious German Sauvignon Blanc. It has intense grapefruit with pith. ABV is 13%. But a pleasant illusion of sweetness and substantial mouth feel. Initially some SLO. But these quickly blew off in the glass and we are left with good fruitiness, cut grass, and secondary note of Flint. — 6 years ago
