No transition from edge to center - lots of licorice and some cherry on the nose some burnt oak/orange as well. Taste: Sour plumb, oak, hay, strong mid palette and finish - there's a lot going in with this wine - almost too much to describe. Best paired with braised beef, veal, roasted chicken. Definitely a good food wine. — 8 years ago
Beautiful color. Nose is Dust and Alcohol. Front and mid palate is monotone cherry and has no resonance.
This is the winemakers fault - they are passing a $5 wine for $20. There are far better deals for $20 a bottle. — 8 years ago

This wine has 3 solid notes, Cherry, Oak and Vanilla. Great to pear with Steak or Chocolate. Maybe a heavier veal dish as well.
9.5 because the start and finish are short - if it was drawn out longer it would be a 9.7 or higher. Had been aged for 2 years but would love to see it after 5 on the shelf. — 8 years ago
Short version: cherry. vanilla, french oak nose, cassis and hay flavor - 30-45 second finish. perfect price point - wine is the appropriately valued — 8 years ago

An Italian Pinot Noir is not a common wine but this is an exceptional value for $12. This only issue with this wine is that pairing is challenging - pair with pasta and maybe hard cheeses. — 8 years ago

Nose has cherry, blackberry hint of mineral and alcohol. Lots of fruit in the front of the palette but not much more after - clean finish. — 8 years ago

Lots of leather - oak notes. If you aerate, we pick up the cherry and dark fruits. Nice wine for the price $15 — 7 years ago
