Terlato Vineyards
The Federalist Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon
Label says full-bodied but it tastes light to medium. Still good.

5 people found it helpfulApr 30th, 2016Deep ruby with pink translucent rim. Big pretty nose of anise, cassis, tobacco, vanilla leather, blackberry, and smoke. Thin bodied highly acidic tart wash of red cherry and cranberry to the palate gives way to black pepper, cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla. Tiny tannins lead to a short slightly bitter finish. Balance shifted to nose and structure relies too much on blended grapes producing a pseudo zin. Fair value at $12.99 USD but more a third act at a dinner party than steak buddy.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, plums, cherries, bell pepper, oak, vanilla, licorice, light cloves, chocolates, green olives, spices and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Fruity on the palate with black currants, blackberries, vegetables, wood, vanilla, licorice, cloves, coffee, tobacco, leather, barnyard and white pepper.
Medium finish with extremely soft tannins.
This Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi California, is more than drinkable. Simple, but a good party wine and not offensive at all. However, not worth the $20, in my opinion.
Grapes grown on sandy soils in the Lodi appellation.
13.9% alcohol by volume.

It's... Fine. Easy drinking, approachable, good value. Not super complex but expresses the fruit well. Medium low acid, medium plus body. Lots of vanilla.

Dec 23rd, 2020Agradable CAB, color rojo rubí intenso, brillante. Notas de frutos rojos frescos muy agradables. En boca ligeramente abocados, taninos muy redondos en armonía con la acidez. Armonizado con carne a la parrilla, bastante agradable
