Definitely Chardonnay fruit, and yes, the oak is really forward, but with the orange blossom in the nose and the minerality it can only be Chassagne. — 8 years ago
This. Wow! Five spice powder, smoked bacon, and more red fruit than a 20-year old wine should reasonably have. Maybe it’s a great maker with grand cru grapes using whole-cluster fermentation, but it’s definitely magic. No doubt, its among the best I’ve ever had. — 5 years ago
A little vegetal early, but that blew off quickly - afterward, lovely savory spices, cedar, and jamon iberico. — 8 years ago
Orange blossom mushrooms with a mineral backbone. Amazing! — 5 years ago
At Brasserie Bistro with Larry and Martie. The evening is off to a great start. Bracing acidity and limestone - still a baby at 12 years old. — 5 years ago

Now that was larger than life. Huge black cab fruit and tannin structure with more than a little brambly and gamey monastrell. Hard to believe it’s 16% ABV. My only regret is that it is way too young - I’ll wait a few more years before I open another. — 5 years ago
