Generous nose of cherries, over-ripe oranges and Indian only hat is attractive, if not overly complex. The palate is rounded and slightly leathery on entry. — 9 years ago
Dried fruit forward, not surprising given how this wine is made. Medium acid and medium high tannins. — 9 years ago
Dried fruits and spice with a good body to match. This is my first and surely not my last ripasso wine. Ripasso is unique in that the wine undergoes a second fermentation on the skins of dried grapes. — 8 years ago

Not what I expected. Very light for a Malbec good nose but the wine was a disappointment. I was really looking to see if this would be a success in the Yadkin Valley. — 9 years ago
Received this from Club W. Good wine, garnet color with a peppery zing with a dark fruit background and a hint of violets. Medium light body and medium low acidity that lingers for a short time teasing you into another sip. The tannins of this wine seem to linger as well. — 8 years ago

Excellent wine to cook with! Earthy with a hint of peppers. This was my first venture into burgundy wines and certainly not my last. — 8 years ago
