Tannat/Tempranillo/Merlot. Mushrooms!! Funk, tar, minerals, mildew, leather, smoke, wet leaves, camping, bonfires, tobacco, ash. As it breathes, it gets fruitier - purple Welch's grapes, strawberries. Easy to drink. Soft, smooth, and smokey. Complex and evolving. — 9 years ago
Tannat and Viognier blend. Salt, seashells, limestone, tar, dirt, compost, manure, licorice, plum, oak, yeast, currant, smoke, leather. WAY easier to drink than to smell. It's full bodied, but has light tannins. Earthy, but floral, smooth and silky. — 9 years ago
Chardonnay/Pinot Noir. Made in the French champagne style. It is rich and creamy - golden in color. Full bodied, oxidation happens IN bottle. Golden apples, butter, yeast, grilled pineapple, peach. It is dry but almost milky - Chardonnay-like. It takes ripe, but not sugary. — 9 years ago
Sauvignon Blancs are always my go-to, but I LOVE this red!! Super fruity with dark fruits - especially blackberries and raspberries. Black cherries, plumbs, pomegranate. It is medium bodied with light but tingly tannins. Nodes of leather and ripe roses. A lighter cab in style. Very fruity. Very easy delicious. — 9 years ago
Dark purple and opaque in color. Spends 14 months in oak using traditional production methods. Cedar, leaves, mushrooms, moth balls, musk, blueberries, blackberries, plum, prune, chocolate. Tastes very smokey - cedar, leather. High tannins, dry, and full. — 9 years ago
Gewurztraminer/Moscato. This is an boutique wine made by a small wine producer in Uruguay. It is light gold in color. The smell of pineapple nearly blows you away. Smells like honey, honey suckle, apple, over ripe or caramelized fruit. Tastes different than it smells - less fruity and sweet. Salt, rotten apples, funk and mildew. Made for German Riesling drinkers or spicy food! — 9 years ago
Pretty delish, if you ask me. Inexpensive, and refreshing in every way. Lots of grapefruit, melon, and lemon. This Sauvignon Blanc is acidic and dry, with a sweet juiciness to it. — 9 years ago
Pomegranate, cedar, cobwebs, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, cotton, tar, iron, macerated strawberries, menthol. Tastes more herbal than it smells - rosemary, basil, chalk, sand. It is full, smooth, and acidic. Very complex. Sell to a Boudreaux drinker. — 9 years ago
Petit Manseg/Sauvignon Gris. GOLD. Pear, apple sauce, corn, wheat, yeast, vanilla, peach, oak, caramel, moth balls. It tastes like an attic full of old sweaters. It is full bodied and super weird. Made for the adventurous Chardonnay drinker. This is a white wine that can stand up to meat! — 9 years ago
