Lodi Old Vines Zinfandel

Raspberry jam, currant, strawberry, maple syrup, cherry, loamy earth and hints of oak. Good structure and soft tannins.

Sweet, fruity, not as good as 7 deadly zins

A good light red, somewhat oaky but neither dry nor sweet. Lingers nicely on the palate and pairs well with food. We offered it with our Thanksgiving dinner (turkey) and felt it paired well; finished the bottle with minestrone. We bought it for the label but may purchase it again if an easy red is called for or if the audience doesn't want a heavy wine.

I would order it again, but I wouldn’t seek it out in stores.

Great with a jumbo grilled Shrimp dinner and vegetables

Peppery and sweet berries.

Of course he bought it. After that it holds up. Easy red with a little more depth than many Zins. Nice entry or summer or finish the bottle choice for a red. I’d buy again and feel good offering to wine and not wine drinkers alike.
