More structured than the 2011. It needed 24 hours to unwind. Really needed it. I’d not open a bottle for 2-4 more years. Today the nose is just flourishing. Sappy red cherry and cranberry fruit with loads of wet earth. Some lovely stoniness to. Really lifting and ethereal. Palate is at once elegant and juicy but also dense and electric with limestone infused tannins that finish almost fully mineral. The wine dissipates and has a red Riesling like finesse. Stunning. Epic. Poetic.

Good Pinot Noir although at the end of its life. A little sour in the finish but elegant in the attack like a masculine Burgundy.
