Aug 23rd, 2015Turbid, dense violet with black core and thin magenta rim. Quick whiff of VA blows off to a rather restrained nose interns of primary fruit. Ripe blackberry, black pepper, caramel, leather, black pepper, graphite, and firewood. Medium plus acid is slow to arrive but is mouthwatering. Medium body, medium plus astringency , high alcohol 14.5 is well integrated on the palate but throws a slight burn in the throat. Medium complexity, concentration, and finish. Aromas in the nose are reflected on the palate with a touch of bitterness.

V09. Really like it. Cedar plank bouquet. Juicy Rich blackberry and pepper fruit. Nice mocha and slight chalky finish.

Blackberries, pepper, bacon and coffee flavors. The coffee lingers on a long, tight finish. Zaca is a Syrah to always have on hand. Never lets you down. Always solid.
