Maybe my first wine from Piekenierskloof SA.
Medium yellow. Slightly herbal tinged, lemon oil and green apricot aromas. Hints of nutty, sesame oil and roasted walnut. Palate it medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity, dry. Long finish echos lemon/apricot note and brings additional tropical note of just ripe mango.
I assume the 777 refers to clone here.

This is the 777 Piekenierskloof region Chardonnay. Kind of mid-way between Burgundy and a New World style. Nice nose shows beautiful fruit that straddles apple, pear, and peach. A nice toasted butter note and crushed rocks too. Intense and balanced in the mouth. Very nice acidity balances everything. Impressive! Think barrel-aged Pouilly-Fuisse.
