Meaty, fleshy, bell pepper, and with a hint of cigar ash. Aging has happened well here.

Really took me by surprise. A great bang for the buck with complex flavors. Drinks like something more expensive. Good stuff here.

Ah, an Australian Cab. You already know what you’re in for with this, don’t you? A clear medium garnet with slight purple tinges. A bit of a crazy nose with high octane ripe fruit that takes up all the space until that blows over and the lavender, herbs, and cedar take over. You can probably guess that this is going to be a bruiser of a Cab and that it is. Heavy decanting is a must because it takes awhile for the heat to settle down into something more focused. Full bodied with high acidity, it’s thick and rich. This could go off the rails so easily but it stays the course and ends up quite pleasant. The big Coonawarra fruit plays well here and ends very nicely. Not my usual choice but this is good stuff

The Cigar- come on, Delectable, find it. Earthy fun and inexpensive easy drinking. Back to pics of my most photographic non-human baby.
