Glad I waited a few years before opening. Good but feels like a bit of an under achiever. Great fruit, but a little on the one note side. For a few extra bucks Janzen's Hopper is much better. Update: so maybe I was a little hard on it out of the gate. After an hour of air it improved on the nose and palate. Jamminess and tannins came out.

10' World's End Crossfire Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard. Just an hour of decanting. Ripe Blackberries, earthiness, perfume, violets. Long finish. 8/10 years in it. Again…not the most complex wine. Absolutely delicious! Edit- Drinking in it's peak years now. Can't imagine it getting much better.

Expertly integrated oak and tannins. It goes down like velvet... not too fluid, but no unfavorable bite. Lingering finish, reminiscent of toasted coffee beans and shavings of pure cocoa. Im getting deep purple notes on the mid-palate. Lovely.

Full of bright and fresh fruit. Exceptionally balanced. A bit less character than the 2009 but so, so good.

Wow.. One of 6 tried, all stellar. This is single vineyard beckstoffer Missouri hopper vineyard.. Awesome intensity and long finish.. I want more of all of these. Favorite was probably the Wavelength (50/50 Syrah and cab franc)

Had several bottles of this wine in the past 5 years. And this one is easily the best.
Gorgeously rich and pure on the nose: black cherries, blueberry pancakes and blackberry preserve.
This all echoes on the palate and some well dosed pinches of caramel, cocoa, coffee and toast take this wine to another level. Just enough acidity to give it some fraicheur, soft and ripe tannines backing up the long and incessant finish.
Totally beautiful.

1hr+ decant. Deep, dark red color. Heavy menthol and licorice on the nose and palate. More tannic and vibrant than past bottles. Medium plus depth, but medium minus finish. My last bottle.
