We got this from god knows where and attempted to ditch it by bringing it to a party, only for the host couple to unwittingly re-gift it to us some months later. I guess we got what we deserved…more like Bummer in a Bottle

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, the youths (mostly college)! Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading one operatic work from WAGNER (Die Walküre, Act II & III). This is our WAGNER weekend with the BSO, Act I was performed last night.

Nose of cold margarine, clementine peel, under-ripe mango and washed strawberry. Palate has orange peel, ripe guava, light kiwi, slight red raspberry and cold citrus. Decent bottle, likely wouldn't seek out on my own, our first Long Island wine.

A gifted bottle to us by a random BSO employee whom was enjoying the Lawn next to us. He needed to leave his gear unattended for about an hour during the intermission between Act's II & III, asked us to keep an eye out for ne'er-do-well's, so generously, he decided we should be treated well, good karma goes a long way in life. Live by the Golden Rule and you'll be ok.

It really is summer in a bottle! High yum factor. Quite fruity. Orange. Fruit punch almost.

Merlot, gewurz, chard and PV. 20% gewurz really comes through. Interesting blend.

Limpid orange-pink. Tangerine, strawberry and tropical fruit aromas are sharpened by a hint of ginger. Silky and broad on entry and then more taut in the midpalate, offering orange zest, red berry and guava flavors that show a touch of back-end bitterness. Finishes supple and slightly warm, revealing a touch of candied flowers and decent length. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2017)

A crisp and refreshing Rosé from Long Island with a pretty color of light salmon.

Dry on the palate with light red berries, citrus, grapefruits, green apples, white pepper and limes.

Medium bodied and a little watery.

A good food wine, and good by the pool. A Nice everyday Rosé.

12.8% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.
