Color is just starting to deepen. Nose has honey and petrol, with gingered apricot and some deep-toned stony notes. Deeply flavored but with electric acids and minerality buoying it up. Finish goes on for miles. Superb.

Nov 7th, 2017Mein Gott is this good. Deep gold color. Nose oozes honeyed, petrolly minerality and peach pit. So much dry extract here. Zingy acids buoying up very stone essence minerality and pithy fruit. Wow.

This is the trocken s. Super aged Riesling nose. Caramel. Orange peel. Really rich. Palate is deep. Really deep. Rich with hints of caramel and brown butter. Still sparkles on the palate. Coats the sides of the mouth with richness. Not a delicate wine. Great with rich food. Shows what old rheinhessen is all about.
