Interesting to try this in its infancy. Everything is there for a long life.

Tannins, leather, spice. Not as fruit driven as I'd expect. Excellent balance. Probably a keeper.

It is their flagship wine and comes from 40-70 year old vines and sits in French oak 15 months. Nose of; perfumed violets & Lavender, blueberries, blackberries, black plums and black licorice. This is clearly heavily selected fruit as it's beautifully ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries and raspberries pull up the rear as it sit on the palate awhile. The tannins are more elegant & softer. Black cherry cola, anise, dry stone, menthol, spices are softer...less heat. Cloves, nutmeg, dark chocolate, soft minerals& good acidity. Very polished finish that is ripe with just a bit of soft supple tannins. Photo of the main tasting bar.

Magnificent deep and dark fruited palate of perfectly ripe brambles and cassis. There’s a very subtle sense of sweetness, which is beautifully balanced by glorious savory nuances like dark spices, ink, asphalt, grilled herbs and meat, roasted nuts and Havana’s as well.... wow!
Due to the soft, resolving tannines and perfectly embedded and carefully judged acidity this wine never gets flabby, sticky or jammy, but leaves me longing for the next sip and a heartwarming feel of luxury.
So glad I waited a little longer on this one.
