Insane nose for a basic wine. Unreal cherry. So intense and jumps out of the glass. This nose is a 9.5. Just crazy. Palate is full of fruit. Fantastic freshness. Juicy and meaty. Unreal cherry.

Nice dry balance. Needs air 2018. But charming black fruit

Pale bright ruby. Lavender earl grey tea! Very floral! Tart and crunchy red rainier cherry,later more ripe and juicy red plum came out! rose petal, earthy mushroomy bliss, clove, allspice, tons of white pepper, slightly sanguine. Elevated acidity, medium fine grained tannins. It’s a beautiful wine.

Wow. What a ripe nose. Blackberry, pure, herbal and dense. Low yields. Juicy and complex and wow that is do sense. Stunning and pure. Dense and so pure. Nice acidity and old barriques. Wow.

Absolutely singing. Could be best pinot I’ve ever tried for less than $25!? Crazy. Cherry and butterscotch. Lean, tannic, structured but with that generous ‘18 fruit. Fabulous. What a vintage.

Haven’t had in over 2 years and for a Gutswein this is very nice if a bit on the down turn. Damson nose of mid season cherries, spice, tree bark and some nice woodshop vibes. Palate is juicy and has good fruit saturation. Great balance and freshness. Blackberry echoes on the finish. Tannins a bit big and drying and maybe beating the fruit. Better with food but very nice without. Finish is a bit short.

Gorgeous nose of mid season cherries, sour cherries, some hints of black cherries and loads of earth and mineral. Sappy, sweet and deep. Terrific red fruits and awesome energy and purity. Stunning depth and sweetness. What a value for Gutswein. As it airs you even get some citrus on the nose. Terrific hint of rusticity and great velvety tannins that suggest short term aging

One of the best values in all of German Pinot. Spice and red fruits. Apple skin, cherries, flowers. Gorgeous depth and breadth for Gutsweine. Palate is ripe and generous with sweet fruit and bright acidity. Fruit is ripe but that perfectly level ripe. Gorgeous palate that has earthy sweet fruit and great amplitude. Pure and long with great balance. Easy to go down. Lovely.

So lovely. Nose of earth, berry, cherry, spice and mint. The palate is lush., soft, balanced and so flavorful. Good concentration and terrific purity. Lovely mouthfeel and texture. Terrific value.

17 German Pinot is great. More south (Rheinhessen, Baden) it has the power of 15 and the precision and freshness of 2016. Huge berry fruit. Clean and fresh like right off the tree. Earthy and mineral as well. Young and grapey at the moment but with gorgeous precision and purity and lovely Pinosity. Insane value.
