Schlossberg Riesling

Bern 1.5 years since my last bottle and this has really improved in that relatively short period of time. Confectionary and expansive nose. Pineapple, lime zest, lime flowers, citrus and a bed of thick minerality supporting it all. Beautiful Meyer lemon. Just terrific aromas. Palate is mineral and incisive as ever. Literally no fruit to start with luscious mouthwatering minerality throughout. Chewy and tense. Great mineral grip. Long finish. Very serious and no rush at all. For rock heads only as it ages. Fruit recedes. I love it but others might not.

Last had this almost a year to the day. Gorgeously mineral and deep nose. So elegant. Pineapple, apple, sweet Meyer lemon, super mineral. Gorgeous perfume. Palate is round and so deep with wonderful almost spherical mouthfeel. Lovely lemony and melony finish with a bit of opulence and palate staining minerality. Outrageous. Fleshy fruit on the mid palate and terrific concentration. Drinking well but has 10 more years ahead of it.

Been a few years since I’ve had this one. Screamingly mineral nose. Lemon, citrus, apricot, kumquat. Super aromatic now. Glorious. Palate is so elegant and powerfully mineral with glorious citrus fruit on the finish. Excellent purity and freshness. Complex and concentrated with stunning texture. Long mineral and persistent finish. Still has years to go.

Huge mineral nose. Also ripe fruit. Bitter melon. Bitter honey. Very aromatic. Beautiful. Elegant wine with tremendous mineral presence and power. Great complexity and mouthfeel. Distinctly mineral and pure. Finishes with appealing bitter honey and citrus notes. Great length. Juicy and long.

Great mineral nose. Also some lemon flower. Mineral attack on the palate. Meyer lemon. Lovely lemon flower internal aromatics. Lovely finish. Great wine with my flight of crudi made by Slave labor. Bought from Fass selections. ... getting almost a lemon curd richness as it opens. Very good.

Oh god. Mineral nose. Palate is mineral and gods lemon juice. Like a combo of sweet lemon and regular lemon. Freshly ground rocks. Stinging minerality. Leaves a mark on the palate. A wine that is almost alive. The Thorle brothers are killing it. Bought from fass selections Needs an hour to open up. Then its even crazier.

Light gold color. Some honey and pine sap duking it out in the nose. Very silky texture and considerable acid. Gorgeous wine, perhaps a tad early yet.

Super mineral on the nose with a hint of pith. Lemon pith and mineral palate super juicy. There is a not obvious richness and depth if that makes sene. Hint of honey on the finish. Just a hint. A must buy for laible and Chablis lovers. Bought from Fass selections. After an hour subtle peach comes out.
