Lovely red Austrian wine. Flavor reminds me of a Chianti, but with a softer, more rounded presentation. Great dinner wine; will be trying more blauer zweigelts in future.

A beautifully funky and mineral-laden wine, smelling like a dank cave filled with hay, black currants, and maybe a couple of horses. Delivers a decidedly gritty, limestone-rich palate with blood orange, watermelon candy, and unripe strawberry fruit. An extraordinary find for under $20 Winery Direct at Total Wine. Great character.
