This is pretty decent Gamay. Oh wait, why does the bottle say Pinot? Gamay nose: red plum, beef, raspberry, spice. Medium + acid. I would have guessed New World Gamay blind. Go figure.

Lithe, expressive, well made. Long, sweet red cherries, some saspirilla. Goes down easy.

2012 vintage was great, 2014 was only OK. I understand that 2014 season was overly rainy, and effected the vintage. I would give next years vintage another try. This brand has a great reputation.

Bright with ripe red fruits and very expressive. A nice young Pinot from the Willamette Valley!

In all fairness, I paid $8. Currently for sale in the tasting room, not for $8. ANOTHER! #wine from the HJD portfolio. The oak treatment serves the vintage well. (6 mo's 100% neutral) At some point between 02 and 09 HJD's preferred oak treatments changed. (toast?)I think by tasting it was 08. (I will ask) The wines had more structure before but are more consumer friendly and accessible younger now. The new treatment is definitely geared more towards leaner (cooler) vintages. The wines from 03-07 are REALLY great for my taste, the 10's as well.
