Estate Cuvée Schultze Family Vineyard Pinot Noir

For unexplained reasons this is going to be a Pinot Noir weekend... starting off with a bang this is everything I could ask for in a Pinot Noir...excellent bottle age, light texture and that alluring varietal aroma Love the Santa Cruz Mountains This one could easily be confused for a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Very nice drinking Pinot. Bright red fruits, earthy elements, decent sap and a refreshing finish.

Pretty, volatile, very pale. Complex aromas. Moderate alcohol.

Black cherry, earthy, and minerally with a smoky note

Light bodied but had some tannin hiding in the back. Wonder if they did some whole cluster fermentation.

Light ruby hue. Aromas of cherry, cream, grass, minerals, and smoke. Medium-light body, soft tannins, and plus acidity. Bright and balanced with a lasting finish. A little tight at first, but softens after opening a while with hints of vanilla on the palate.

Last bottle. Classic varietal scents on the nose, restrained, underscored by forest floor. Carmine color, with ever so slightly bricking on the rim. Some cherry and strawberry on the palate, starting to give way to tertiary flavors. Medium acidity, and subtle tannins, almost fully resolved. Great balance, in a beautiful spot right now. Tremendous value.

Fantastic value. Beautiful SCM Pinot from the tail end of the drought. Elegant, floral nose, delicious yet understated red fruit on the palate. Well balanced acidity and tannins.

May have waited too long
