Apr 6th, 2014I am not sure if this bottle is flawed or if I am tonight (my love for Winderlea is leaving me to keep this open). Very fruity on the initial impression and nose then, as it evolved, became tart and green (stems and branches). This just made me feel the fruit was possibly underripe when harvested. I was longing for balance—the tannins, acidity, and alcohol forcefully push through then leave you longing for more structure to support their efforts. Not undrinkable or unenjoyable by any means, just not their best showing.
