Allspice and Eucalyptus on the nose. Light fruit (cherries) on the front of the palate. Medium tannic structure. Starts out pleasant, but the smooth tannins on the mid palate transition into a jangled astringent finish. It’s a rough ending for a wine that starts out pleasantly. I think Burgundy aficionados will enjoy this tipple I think. Not bad — just not great.
