Though it tastes a bit older than ‘09, it absolutely tastes like Italy - quite possibly the best new world Nebbiolo I’ve had. Color is a pale brick with garnet tinges on the rim, and the nose really jumps from the glass in a way that is both energetic and eroding. Palate features fully mature integrated tannins and firm acid with intense dried cherry fruit, dirty rose water, and some emerging earthy tertiary character. It continues to grow on me with more time in the glass - I think this bottle and I found each other on the perfect day.

Dry palate coated in dried blackberries, cherries, a little bit of herbs and some bright acidity in the backend. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2021.

Well, glad I kept this for another 6 years to see how it evolved. Cork was in amazing shape. Brick red. Almost tawny in glass. Dried flowers and herbs on the nose. Not a lot of fruit on the nose. Palate is more dried flowers, roses, leather, the faintest touch of pouch tobacco, plums, dried fig, maybe persimmon. It dries the mouth with tannin and acidity. Definitely secondary flavors starting. Probably the best wine deal I’ve ever had for this type of quality. Wish I had one more to try in 2028.

Excellent! Developing very well! Love these. Wonderful floral and cherry aromas. Cherry, tobacco, and leather on the palate. Impossible to find better value than these at $9.
