Bedrock Vineyard Old-Vine Mourvedre

Still leading with that bright grapefruit note, but now rounded out with more savory components and darker red fruit. Acidity carries the day here - fun, dynamic wine.

The wine is full of seductive spices. Cinnamon, cardamom, star anise. I would be tempted to call old-world in blind. Ripe red fruit dominant flirting with the dark stuff. Chocolate covered strawberry, dried raspberry, cranberry sauce, with black pepper sprinkled sparingly about. Structurally sound. A finish of flagrant finesse.

So lovely. Surprisingly grapefruity at cellar temp, though shows more feral undertones as it warms. Medium bodied deliciousness.

lively red fruit. structure more from acidity than tannin. lighter than other mourvedre / bandol wines but nice in its own way

Mourvèdre Madness Monday. Common threads across the board: tart blackberry, characteristic rustic meatiness/ferrous quality and reduction.

Still extremely fresh for its age.

Good fruit but the herbs, earth, and flowers really sing. Very fresh and tasty fruit even 6 years on. What an awesome wine. If you find it for 16 bucks or less through the wind gap sell off, pick up a few bottles.

Hiding in the cellar. A real gem.

So pure. Unique and beautiful expression of Mourvèdre.
