Stewed black raspberries, blueberries, black plum, a slight date/fig quality and well done toast on the nose. The plate matches the nose with a herbaceous quality added in. The fruit is rich and ripe...similar to when you start to make jam. Syrupy. Very light baking spices and light minerality. Rich, full and smooth on the finish. After 8 or so years in the bottle, you don't notice the 14.9% alcohol so much. It's not hot in the back of the throat. If you own, drink now as it is not going to improve going forward.
