Still Cali fruit, and oak was a little prominent to me, but this was remarkably balanced. And the maturing Pino characters (earthy, sous bois) were very appealing. It's also quite emotional to be drinking a perfectly cellared bottle of Burt Williams' last vintage while listening to stories of the man himself. Among the very best of America in my drinking history.

Ripe cherries, raspberries, wet leaves. Fully mature, resolved tannins. This is lovely.
