Fun Friday evening with great wines.

Classic WS raspberries all over this wine. Bright and acidic. Very fresh and juicy raspberries, fleshy strawberries, stem and herbs. A touch thin on the palate, but time may have beefed it up a bit after I had left. Just a hint of black cherries here, but overall, the profile here is decidedly red fruit driven with a light body and high acidity.

A little tired, but still showing pretty fruit.

Always an enjoyable WS favorite, and this bottle was no different. Beautiful nose, tannins, and fruit/spice combination.

Cherries, plums, and raspberries combine into a smooth, lovely wine. Perfect for a cool, foggy evening with lamb on the grill.

Consumed Thanksgiving 2017. On the down slope. Taste is muted and lacks vibrancy. A little thick.

Earth, life, chocolate, strawberry, Love. What else do you need? Solid. 5 years of life left.

Cedar and red fruit. Super concentrated, not my personal style but great for those who dig. 2008 vintage

The complexity is astounding. Indian spice, cardamom, cinnamon and cola dominate the nose. Then the palette pops with rustic earth and cherry notes moving into a long chocolate and blueberry compote finish. ERN continues to be perhaps the best wine WS produces.
