43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Syrah, 15% Malbec, and 6% each of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Dense purple red. Butter, anise, berry and cassis notes in nose, maybe leather. Blackberry and graphite flavors in mouth, anise aftertaste. Needs time to open. Later cherry and a touch of plum flavor emerge. Some astringency across tongue, light seed tannins on center of tongue during finish. Nice for the price, decent, probably not for aging

Like a comfortable pair of jeans, this has a familiar and easy-going taste. Nothing fancy, just lots of fruit, good acidity and a bit of vanilla and cedar to add a bit of complexity. Smooth finish, like finding a $10 bill in your jeans, is the final touch.
