Shifflett Vineyards Proprietary Red Merlot Cabernet Franc

A preview from the upcoming release. This is the Prop Red. Same SV as the cab, but this is 50 Merlot/50 Cab Franc and it’s damn delicious. Needs a couple more years in bottle to integrate, but it’s definitely going places. The next vintage will actually be a coferment of these varietals. More good things to come from W&M!!

First time having this wine. Very enjoyable.

Awesome proprietary red from this small producer. I’ve preferred this over their Cab in their infancy. Dark ruby with violet, cedar, and a bit of green pepper on the nose. A bit of red currant mixed with more black fruit and sweet oak.

Stunner. Unfolded as the night went on. Just enjoyable with an ever evolving nose with classic Napa aromas. Want more

Out of a Mag,
Its ok, not bad but probably my least favorite 2016 I’ve had. Its not tight but just bland, nothing distinctive about it.
