Another year another vintage of old faithful Whitehaven SB. Same crisp and fresh standard as always.

The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Whitehaven has plentiful power and drive in its bright and light body. With its freshly cut grass and passionfruit-like fruit, it's a taste of summer. All you need is Wimbledon. There's more intensity than usual thanks to the season's naturally small crop, concentrating the fruit and packing a punch. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, March 2022)

Pale straw with green edges and aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with floral herb notes. On the palate ripe apricot, peach and pineapple with lemon zest, classic New Zealand SB. Vivid acidity and spice complement this well balanced wine to a medium finish.

I always liked Whitehaven NZ SB. Another great vintage, totally consistent with previous. I use this Sauvignon Blanc for my signature left over Thanksgiving dish - Turkey pot pie - and drink half the bottle while making it. 😎

As crisp and refreshing as all the previous vintages. Great minerals. One of my favorite NZ SBs.

One of the better NZ SB’s I’ve tasted so far this summer. Exceptional mouthfeel with a broad palate of cantaloupe, grapefruit, peach.

Drank 5/7/19.

My first taste of anything from '18

Pale yellow in the glass, this displays classic New Zeland scents: Grass, lemon, kumquat, along with some underripe tangerines. Well balanced yet fairly simple with lemon curd and tangerine flavors. A touch of sweetness balances the acidity. Light body, short finish. Very refreshing.
