The Aglianico grape is most widely planted in Southern Italy however there are a number of producers in Aussie who are experimenting with it.
A lovely garnet colour on the eye. Aromas of sweet cherries, plums, bark and baking spice. On the palate it's juicy and rich with vibrant acidity and mouth puckering tannins. It would marry well with a lamb dish or antipasto platter full of sundried tomatoes and prosciutto.

Was really surprised by this wine seeing the price. It had some complexities and subtle flavors with a soft finish. Will definitely buy some more.
