Quite intense and weighty. Not a lot of acid — 7 years ago
Wine #4 of our Austrian and Südtirol wine (and skiing) adventure. This wine is a W-O-W knockout! The owner of the wine shop in Westend, Munich really knew his stuff. Nose immediately made my wife say "whoa!" - clear aged riesling nose of candied pear and pineapple, honysuckle flowers and hint of cloves. Golden yellow, dry as dry but with zingy acidity that just explodes in the mouth. I love this wine. — 9 years ago

This Duriff (Petite Syrah) is actually produced in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Calabria is the name of family who founded the winery. A powerful and dense wine that is somewhat soft and subtle at the same time. Big aromas and flavors of blackberry, bakers chocolate and vanilla oak. Beautiful structure and depth. Firm grained tannins with a long warming finish. Solid. — 5 years ago
