So this would have been delicious in any context, but with Julia Hoyle's homemade Senegalese food it was divine. What people fail to realize about really good sweeter Riesling is how food friendly it can be. This paired fantastically with the 4 very different dishes on the table.

Great balance. Crazy aromas; fresh juniper goes more resin-y then into dill and finally some dried oregano. All the while leaving something behind as it morphed and building complexity.

1993. Been hanging out in all sorts of spots in our apartment. Resilient bottle of wine. Showing quite nicely. A little salt, a little pepper, a little zip, and some sugar. If you aren't already a riesling fan this might not be the wine to convert you, that said, it's making my night.
