Le Petit Pinot Noir

Absolutely phenomenal. Black raspberry, black cherry, white tea, flowers, some red currant. Stellar aromas. Unique. The palate is teeming with energy. Juicy, and slathering minerals. Velvety tannins but also substantial. This needs to flesh out but the underlying everything is brilliant. After 19 hours open the nose is softer and more expressive. Really a lipstick like intensity and just evolved so much overnight. Loads of Alpine spices. Palate is so round now but still has that energy and that barely there sweetness. Juicy and clean. Wonderful. 9.4 to 9.5.

What a nose. floral, so so floral, red cherry, red licorice, Insane nose. That’s so insane and elegant. Awesome. So fresh. Insane angry and density without weight and just amazing red fruits. Stunning.

Terrific smokey aromas smothered in berries and cherries. Refined wildness. So floral and precise. Clear. Tiny berry fruit intensity and a lipstick like intensity. Woodland berry a forest aromas and a wonderful indescribable Alpine aromas. Just spectacular. The clarity is just amazing here. Palate is brilliant. Grippy and tanning but juicy and elegant. Nerds air but it’s still gentle but also commanding and what a fruit soak on the finish. Amazingly long finish. Switzerland continues to impress. I’ll be back. A hint of sweet raspberry jam on the nose but only a hint and so engaging. Adds so much.

Big time alpine nose. Fresh flowers, herbal scents and lively minerality. Black and red fruits. Layered, expansive and penetrating nose. Lovely. Palate is juicy but super dry and tannic but lovely fruit. Think I might need to wait this one out. This is day 2 as it was super closed yesterday.

Stunning alpine nose. Tree Bark, tart cherries and cherry cough syrup. Palate is ripe and juicy but with edge and verve. Tart cherries and juuust ripe. Super pure. Good, elegant tannins and length. Nose is killer. So alpine.

Nose starts out very quiet. Some alpine scents, some some cherry and black cherry, tree bark and very intense minerality. It’s holding so much back aromatically. Palate is a stunner. Superb concentration and sap. This is a gentle giant. Awesome fruit soak. Just so compelling. Startlingly pure. Incredible minerality and just the cleanest Pinot you’ve ever tasted. Incredible palate. Just a small hit of opulence and then leans into the minerals and the linearity. Superb tannins and perfect balance. Awesome structure and sap. Wow what a finish. Best version of this ever. Amazing wine but as it airs it youthens up. I’ll be back as this evolves.

Nose coming around now. Floral, jelly donut filling, late season cherry, some black cherry.

Alluring nose of woodland spice, tree bark, superb minerality and some dark cherry fruit. Initially palate is raw and young and will need an hour but it’s got sweet fruit, length, suave tannins and excellent length. Very pure. Texture is awesome. Needs air. Will be back.

Now nose has come around. Gorgeous black cherries. Huge deep woodland spices and flowers. Palate is juicy and very complex with terrific freshness and delicacy. Vibrant and in I incisive tannins. Long.

Fresh as a daisy with 9 yrs now of age. No notes; gorgeous crushed red fruits & a savory edge, good structure too. Delicious.

Needs lots of time, but gorgeous aromatics already.
