I’ve said it once, I’ve said it many times. There is no greater wine value in the world than well-aged Mosel Riesling. Crystalline asian pear, mandarins and river water mixed with a hint of petrol. Killlllller.

Dec 26th, 2018Stone fruits, honey, pineapple in a tart fashion..rubber hose was quite apparent...but i felt it was bit flabby, hoping for more acid 😟

Color of egg white. Nose of stingy gasoline, citrus, fruity, and light. Taste is light yet complex, with nice and saliva driven citrus acidity, honey note, low alcohol, and enjoyable. Aftertaste is long with waves of fruity acidity and flowering note. I am amazed by her longevity.

CVed 11/8/17 JL HAUBS-Barzen Erben comp. Foral and pleasant nose with hay and white fruits and medium body and finish. Opened 1/6/18. more complex. Up by one.

When I initially tasted this, I thought, drink soon, but I was informed that this was drinking well even on day 2, so maybe this still has time. Beautiful nose with petrol, mint, herbs, anise, camphor; very tertiary. On the palate, nice acidity with nettle, and prickly sour green apple. I didn't find this cloying at all, and it certainly did well after six gamay and pinot noir based wines.
