Very nice tropical fruit notes (ripe pineapple) and stone fruit (peach candy) but lost a bit of acid. Wondering how much better it developed from bottling.

Oh my goodness - candied apricot, grilled peach, cookie dough and cardamom with white pepper.

Drinking up my stock of these as the previous bottles were past their prime. But my final one goes out with life still in it! Apple, pear, ripe and juicy lemon, maybe even a little pineapple on the long finish.

20 years out and still in great shape. Touch of petrol on the nose, fresh apple, beautiful acidity. Yummy.

Medium golden yellow. Very strong petrol and citronella on the nose. Some undertones of guava and peach. A touch sweeter than expected considering it is a Kabinett. Medium acidity (5.5/10) and light plus bodied. Nice citrus and tropical notes in the palate. An odd mouthfeel to start that tastes a little synthetic like petrol. Dry backend and medium finish. Drink till 2020.

Oily texture, peaches and pineapple pith. Leaner than expected.

The one of these I opened was wonderful. This bottle was unfortunately corked. And decanting it even for a few minutes just made the cork taint more pungent. Even with the corked aroma and flavor, the sweetness in the wine plowed through the off flavor to show at least some of the fruit, so it wasn’t as muted as a dry wine would be. The acidity was still there as well. Impressive nevertheless.

Still fresh and delicious, no discernible age in the color, nose, or taste, which was slightly sweetened apples. Still had acidity, but it seemed to have softened a bit, and still had some tannins. Overall it was in lovely shape, definitely a treat.

No CV before opening. Prominent straw hay stones mushroom petrol and wet earth on nose with good balance and finish. Color still pale straw and very fresh and lively tasting. Must be the results of vineyard cellaring. That distinctive nose common to all these Haubs Brazen library releases. Due to cellar cave conditions? JR wine. Particularly amazing for twenty year old Kab.
