Forest floor, dead leaves, ripe cherries, amazing clarity of the cherries. Just a stunning nose. Porcini mushrooms. Little austere and out of the gates. Firm but will integrate. So fresh and energetic. Man the fruit is so sweet and intense. Amazing acidity. Long finish.

Aug 26th, 2023Wild feral nose. Red cherries, spice, loads of spice, chestnut, wood shavings, violets but wow spice. Must be the Frühburgunder. Palate is hyper elegant with lovely finely knit tannins and mid season cherry fruit. Very pure. Juicy. Needs a few hours to open. Finish starts off short. I’ll be back.
After 20 minutes this got sick. Huge violets on the nose and the finish is long, complex and lingering now. Gorgeous sweetness and purity. Dazzlingly fresh and long.

Holy hell. Josef nailed this. Today, 2/7/21 this is absolutely ripping. One of my favorite winemakers making great PN. This wine oozes humbleness and love. Ripe textures but depth. Just a perfect example of a good wine from Germany. Outstanding job Josef and @Lyle Fass
