Just as classic as it gets. A stunningly beautiful bottle of Spätlese. Nose is slate city. Green apple. Peach. Rainwater. Rubber. Lemon. Lime. So clean. Super juicy and clean but not over the top concentrated. Everything is in its little perfect place. Welcome to the Dollhouse 2 - Spätlese. (Don’t Google what that movie is about!). Its soaring aromas are mimicked on the palate with a soaring bit sublime perfection. This is not a dense, crazy wine, it’s a a perfect feather of a wine. This is what Spätlese used to be. Nose gets apple juice like with air but man if only apple juice smelled like this and not whatever the hell it smells like now. Lovely mid palate and just perfect but not aggressive acidity. My goodness this is clean and beautiful and just perfect for what it is.
