Awesome now. Magic. Creamy and rich. Gorgeous slate aromas. Apple pie. Phyllo dough. Clean as clean can be botrytis. Saffron. So complex and refined. White pepper and a hint of sweet wild mint. Enormously complex aromas. Palate is ripe, creamy and so finesse driven. Salty and fresh with very good buffering acidity. Rich and baroque. Terrific inner mouth aromas. Enormous concentration and freshness but my goodness is this refined. Long finish finish that has that foie gras element that I adore in Mosel Auslese. A superb wine. Will track it as opens.
After a few hours, wowza. Nose is more fruit driven with pineapple and papaya. So refined. Palate is stunning. Layered and energetic but also hedonistic while also displaying the classic nimbleness of Classic Mosel Auslese. 9.6 to 9.7. Stunning.
