Light, elegant, very floral, clean and filled with bright fruit though lacks some concentration. All around very good effort.

This is my second bottle of Waisenhaus Spätburgunder in a few months, and this is just as enjoyable as the first one. Exceptionally well made for a ‘Landwein’.

I’ve been wanting to try Wasenhaus for some time and it did not disappoint. Bright, fresh red fruit - raspberries, cherry and a little strawberry. Subtle mushroom and forest floor. Soft tannins and juicy acidity. Lovely.

This has got to be the best Landwein out there.
Fresh, aetheric & seductive nose with fresh red berries, some cream, a touch of undergrowth and a herby whiff. On the palate this is light, with great purity & depth and loads of character. Raspberries & light cherries, a mushroomy whiff, juicy, finely grained tannins, brilliant acidity - this reminds me very much of a Volnay, and at 1er cru level! Fantastic wine!!
No surprise it’s hard to get....
