Bottle Aged Late Bottled Vintage Porto
Ruby colored. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon. Moderately sweet. Enjoyed over nearly two weeks. Spent 4 years in cask before bottling. Nice late bottled vintage port. 20% ABV.

Dec 28th, 2018Matchless in the LBV category and more floral, less spiritous. A delight defined by its elegance and finesse. Note this is a declared vintage where most others LBVs are made in off years...and the early drinking alternatives are sealed not by a T-cap but this by a driven cork proof that even after four years in cask and then a due rest in bottle it could very well mature in the cellar for decades more to come...if I can keep myself from drinking it up long before then...

2 people found it helpfulFeb 27th, 2015Absolutely astonishing. This was a well declared vintage, and a stunningly balanced LBV. Unfiltered and unfined, with a lovely balance between raisin, espresso and cedarwood on the nose. The mouthfeel is rich, with stewed fruits and dark chocolate and a refreshingly spicy, lingering finish. I've never had a port jump at me with a spicy, woody character such as this one. It will mature so well in the coming years!
On a side note, I wanna thank @Kyle Groombridge, TWP for this wedding gift, it was absolutely enjoyed!
