Wednesday Wine Committee. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. Blind as usual.

With how youthful this was, I was surprised not only at the amount of sediment I had, but the size of the flakes! Because of that, I went the LBV route. Cran-raisins, creamy espresso, stewed raspberries and blackberries, baked graham cracker cherry pie and very small traces of heat.

LBV once more a top value for fair money - a great Port to share with friends - silky and juicy licious - Warre's was the first port house to make late bottled vintage by bottling without any fining or filtration after four years in cask, before maturing for four years in bottle. Acknowledged as the finest of its type. 😀

Best port I’ve ever had. Finish is amazing, has a slightly boozy taste.

Has the deep and full fruit flavors that I expect from a ruby. When I first opened it, the sweetness was not well balanced by acidity or tannins. But the tannins gained strength after a couple of weeks open and I really enjoyed the last few glasses.
