Dark, bright-hued red. Intensely perfumed, mineral-accented red berry and cherry scents are complemented by suggestions of star anise and candied flowers. Silky and appealingly sweet, offering sappy raspberry, cherry and rose pastille flavors energized by a smoky mineral quality. Shows excellent clarity and spicy cut on the persistent finish, which is framed by subtle, even tannins. 40% new oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2020)

Moderately extracted purple-red, excellent clarity. Earthy, smoky, buttery notes in nose. Blackberry in mouth, high seed tannins, built for aging. Blueberry-seed, raspberry finish with moderate skin astringency. Blackberry, raspberry aftertaste. If this improves with aging, it should be a winner, but don't open for at least two years. If you are thirsty, open something else

Good length and balance but the oak is a touch dominant at this point.

Just ripe cherry, herbaceous, spice, slightly floral. Balanced. Tannins are present but just in the background.
