WALT Wines
Blue Jay Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Good depth of flavor and great structure make this wine appealing and complete. Smoky aromas of clove, cedar and black pepper lead to concentrated and rich black-cherry and red-cherry flavors on a moderately tannic texture.

Feb 1st, 2021Located in the heart of Sonoma, WALT focuses on sourcing Pinot Noir fruit from premiere appellations. Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, tea and herb spice notes. Aged for 10 months on French oak (45% new). On the palate an array or berry flavors with smoky cedar notes and light elegant spice. Fine tannins with an earthy grit, savory, lingering ending with earthy smoky notes. Very nice!

May 14th, 2018Walt always puts out solid pinots and this one is my vice. The sweet fruit notes on the nose and the blueberry and velvet like elixir on the palate is just a winning combination. That being said, it’s certainly a fruit forward style Pinot so if you’re looking for Burgundian traits, I’d look elsewhere.

I prefer this pinot over any of the others. I'm in love with the blueberry notes and the beautiful body that this wine has. So enjoyable.

Very rich, dark, and decadent pinot noir. Slutty. Black cherry liquor, raspberry cobbler, sweet oak tones, vanilla, mocha, spice. Fruits, oak dominate nose and palate. Alcohol (14.8%) comes forward on the finish with very modest acidity. Overall smooth and luscious texture. Not my personal fav but sometimes these wines just hit the spot.
