Totally different Napa expression

Black fruits, oak, vanilla #hopvdetroit

Tried a few bottles recently, consistent. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, herbs and spice, aged for 20 months in French oak (75% new). On the palate black cherry and black currant flavors with oak, vanilla and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine ripe dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak, espresso notes and pepper spice! Nice! Drinks well now, aging??? -check back in a year or so! I have a few in the cellar!!

Dwayne Wade’s wine. No complaints. Good stuff. Just starting to open up. Black fruit, fresh saw dust.

Lovely plum and raspberry notes with a slight oak finish. Good structure and solid body.

Dark color, strong dark fruit.
Blackberry, dark cherry, oak, vanilla. Bright nose. Not tannic or acidic.

I see you Dwayne Wade. Fruit forward and juicy.

Dark staining garnet with wide edges and a plum undertone. So much fruit on the nose. Blackberries, blueberry pie, and a touch of boysenberry. There’s some oak going on here too. It took me a while to recognize that this is supposed to be a Rhône type blend except that it lacks the depth and herbaceousness of those wines.
On the palate, super typical New World fruit bomb. All the dark fruits with some harsh tannins and not one iota of complexity to be found. This can make a great conversation starter but that’s really about it.

Good, not great. Dark Cherry, a little spice and uneven tannins. Good with chicken Parm, but needs time to open up.
