1 person found it helpfulFeb 20th, 2022Tried a few bottles recently, consistent. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, herbs and spice, aged for 20 months in French oak (75% new). On the palate black cherry and black currant flavors with oak, vanilla and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine ripe dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak, espresso notes and pepper spice! Nice! Drinks well now, aging??? -check back in a year or so! I have a few in the cellar!!

Jul 18th, 2021Dark staining garnet with wide edges and a plum undertone. So much fruit on the nose. Blackberries, blueberry pie, and a touch of boysenberry. There’s some oak going on here too. It took me a while to recognize that this is supposed to be a Rhône type blend except that it lacks the depth and herbaceousness of those wines.
On the palate, super typical New World fruit bomb. All the dark fruits with some harsh tannins and not one iota of complexity to be found. This can make a great conversation starter but that’s really about it.
