Not bad, but for my taste, slightly herbaceous and earthy, and fairly oaky lacking in fruit. Plenty of choco and coffee on the nose and red and black currant, finishing in a gripping bitter tannin. Great to pair with smokey meat and or fatty roast beef.

Oct 8th, 2015Smells of freshly baked red berry pie.
so, lots of bready yeast, and berry.
Touches of saline, dark cherry, satsuma peel. This definitely shows those all too common fruit soaked toothpick.

Mar 1st, 2018Really like this Merlot! Under $20 and very consistent. Columbia Valley shines again with a rounded taste, nothing out of place. Easy to drink with appetizers or a meal. Earth and fruit, balance throughout and nice finish. Just bought 6 more bottles to have on hand.
