Popped and poured; no formal notes. Tsapournakis is, apparently, Cabernet Franc (or some clone of it) that has been grown in Velvento for a long time. Not surprisingly, this had Right Bank Bordeaux sensibilities. There was a mix of red and dark fruits, purple flowers, organic earth, tobacco and some baking spices. There was perhaps just a touch of Brett too. The structure was firm, in the medium+ category and the finish was long. This was lovely with baked lamb in paper.

Dark red fruits on the nose. Cranberry, cassis and earth on the palate. Medium bodied with finesse!! I’m a Cab Franc fan and this is just right! Would definitely drink again!
